Wei Wei's Housewarming Party~

Had something else to celebrate while i was in Penang besides Chinese New Year.. One of my cousins just bought a new apartment and everyone was invited to the housewarming... :):) its the same place i stayed in during my first and second nights in Pen, the one with the nice view~ and so it was a night filled with family and good food~

Total headcount was around 25... :)

There was roti jala and curry chicken, roasted pork trotters, stewed trotters, chicken wings, scallops with herbs, sashimi salmon, baked salmon, mixed vege, unagi and cake :):):)

Spent the night alternatively eating, drinking, talking, watching ppl talking, etc until it was time to go home... so many goot hosts and hostesses in the family, when will it be my turn?? stress-nya.. hahaha...

No more updates abt my week in Pen after this.. Basically just lots of eating (finally had suckling pig) and gin rummy, and relatives and of course-- Fifi~

CNY in Penang-Day 2

Spent the whole day walking around Gurney Plaza after being dumped by my cousin who had to go to work.. Waited for the mall's doors to open at 10am and only left at ard 6pm @.@~ Luckily we found some stuff to do to while away the time, besides shopping, obviously... Had lunch at A&W, waffles and coney dogs and root beer and onion rings.. yums... I watched Tiger Woohoo for the second time... hehehe.. movie tickets only RM7 in Penang!

Also had another new experience... Foot Reflexology~~~! Depending on your opinion, this could be a very torturous or enjoyable experience... Pain should be expected, but you will feel very relaxed and destressed afterwards :) Im so happy that my foot didnt hurt at all so there shouldn't be anything wrong with me, right? but my calves and knees hurt real badly.. according to the masseuse, i've either been sitting or standing too much, no prizes for guessing which eh~

We were the only 2 customers there and after making lots of ruckus and comparing pain endurance levels excitedly, we only noticed the sign as we were leaving.. malu lah...

We chose the 45 minute foot massage for RM40 at first but changed to the foot+neck+head massage for RM60 later cos we were so reluctant to leave.. haha...

Had dinner at Batu Ferringhi, cos we wanted to spy on my brother (mission failed cos couldnt find him.. Boo) and ended up at The Ship, which is this famous western restaurant with branches all over KL and is famous for being pricey.. My verdict? Not that nice lor considering the prices :(

So if you've bothered reading the whole post, i hope you wont be put off by this restaurant just cause of me.. maybe its my problem, but the taste really doesnt justify the price.. the best dish was the escargots.. even my cousin's son, who is 11 years old complianed abt the garlic steak.. hahahhaha...

Went to the Batu Ferringhi night market later, and it was hot and crowded, but lots of interesting stuff to see.. I even tried something called fried ice, which is quite amazing.. :)

Penang for CNY-Day 1~

I had 7-day break for CNY.. happy~~~ and immediately left for the place where i was born, the pearl of the orient, the island of dreams --> Pulau Pinang.. muahahaha.... not wanting to experience traffic jams like previous years, i headed north on the 11th of feb, before other ppl started running away from the city.. :)

Slept on and off on the bus.. Suddenly i woke up and realised I was already on the Penang Bridge @.@~

Spent 2 nights at my cousin's new place located on Bukit Ria/ Mount Pleasure, Batu Ferringhi :) and what an amazing view does her condo have...

The sea is so smart, it knows how to differentiate itself from the sky.. hahaha...

theres something to make up for the great view though, and they come in the form of scary bugs called rove beetles which were all over the place, although i luckily just missed their mating season so i didnt see that many... According to wiki, their venom is stronger than a cobra's, and according to my cousin, can cause blisters like acid burns when in contact with our skin... her son actually experienced it firsthand cos he supposedly squashed one while sleeping.. made me so nervous that night... :S

Picked up my bro from shangri-la rasa sayang resort and spa (what a mouthful) where he's training and went out for dinner.. Guess what interesting dish i had??

The good news is that i didnt squash any beetles the 2 nights i was there... hahahhaha... woohoo~~ :P

Hatin' Feb~

February is here already, is the Earth spinning faster or what?! The main point is i dont think February agrees with me that much.. have been hating it as soon as it began and i have no idea why :* is it cos CNY is coming and i have nothing to wear or Valentines is coming and i dont have a date? What the heck, even work is becoming more and more hectic and buses getting less and less punctual.. Grrrr.... Hating February at the moment.. Luckily it so short @.@~

PS: Finally got my appetite back after a whole week.. Arghhh...
