Just Passing By RWS - Resorts World Singapore~

What month is it already?! Visited my aunt in S'pore in April and now only i'm writing abt it.. :S Anyways, this time, besides walking round shopping malls, we also went to check out the new and improved Sentosa Island which, if you didnt know, now has a Universal Studios Themepark and Casinos besides the usual beach resorts..

Started our day walking round vivo city (btw mum, we now have both Desigual and a National Geographic Store in KL, muahahhaha) and pondering whether to take the bus, cable car, ferry or monorail to Resorts World Singapore.. @.@~ Too many choices pula..

My Vivocity Tourist Pass! :) Just flash yr passport and you get a discount card for certain shops and a big shiny badge.. @.@~ Actually, not very useful but its free~ so, what the heck~

Had lunch at Food Republic, which i think is larger than the one at Pavillion, i'm not really sure but i think i spent abt half an hour just touring round the stalls to see what there was to eat.. After that, we decided to take a ride on the Sentosa Line :) S$3 per person for a whole-day pass~

My ticket.. :) you can keep it as a souvenir after alighting~

There are a total of 4 stations, and obviously, we started our journey from Sentosa Station @ Vivocity~!

The whole station was packed, with a whole lot of uncles and aunties going to have fun at the casino.. hehehe.. and limited seats in the train = standing all the way.. :S

For your information, Waterfront Station is where Universal Studios and the new casino and hotels are situated, Imbiah Station's draw is the Merlion and Beach Station is where the place to stop at if you want to sun-bathe and play beach volleyball..

Can pick up an island map from the info centre if you feel lost~

Our first stop - Waterfront~ wanted to kaypoh kaypoh at the latest attractions, but even as we were boarding at Vivocity, announcements were being made that all tickets for Universal Studios that day had already been sold out.. not that there was any chance that i would be going with the two aunties i went with, muahahahha...

The customary Universal Globe photo, this thingy has appeared on so many ppl's facebook profiles that i have lost count..

Aunt & Mummy~ Need a lot of patience to get the whole word in lor.. :D

Peeked into Universal studio's main gates and guess who i spotted? hehehe..

Woody Woodpecker! :)

It was so absolutely hot that we ducked into Hershey's Chocolate World to escape the heat.. Dunno what it would be like to queue for rides while sweating buckets.. hmm.. Anyways, what can you expect to find in Hershey's??

Loads of kisses.. hehehe~

Reese mascots and also hershey's mascots which made two ppl very excited @.@~

damn cute~

super sinful chocolate sauce which can be used for many things depending on your imagination~

A real giant bar of chocolate that i think would make willy wonka proud :)

Auntie cannot believe that that bar of chocolate costs the same price as the teddy bear.. :P

Very pretty box of kisses that would make any girl swoon~

Aww.. dont you just want to bring it home??

my very modest haul from Hershey's

Yummy, chewy reese peanut butter cups which were polished off the moment we got home :)

Garrett Gourmet Popcorn Outlet - Popcorn lovers paradise.. the smell from the shop was super tempting~~

After that, we went to take a look at the casino.. which has the most outdated entrance ever.. hehehe~

wish i could tell you that i gambled and won the jackpot or something exciting like that, but too bad, we didnt even step inside cos only closed-toe shoes were allowed in.. sigh~

Saw my favourite bank in S'pore.. something familiar, hehe~

funny cell-like structures overhead.. wonder if they were lights or what~

a very rare pic of me in s'pore but can see a finger at the top :*

Cutesy cakes made to look like dice.. wish i could have tried :(

missed out on this.. boohoo...

Stiltwalkers~

The heat was really getting to us, so after taking a look round, we took a round island trip on the Sentosa Express with our pass before heading back. Hopefully can go to Universal Studios next time im there..

Besides the unbearable humidity and heat that makes you sweat even when you're doing something as tiring as sitting at the bus stop, i found something else that i still cant accept abt s'pore, lol~

the tiny amt of sky you are able to see makes you feel so cramped and trapped.. so depressing lah.. i need a bigger sky!! maybe will camp in a field next time @.@~

Work Gang Gathering at Fong Lye, Gardens Mall~

I pride myself on being a lucky person...

Instead of having horror stories relating to colleagues at work, i've instead found a bunch of ppl whose company i enjoy so much that i can safely call them my new found friends.. :):) xoxoxoxo..

Since some of the gang have since left the company, we rarely have a chance to meet up and chit chat like we always used to.. Last Friday we decided to meet up for dinner at Fong Lye taiwanese restaurant at The Gardens.. The food was awesome, but then so was the company.. heehee.. In fact, we were so busy that we completely forgot to take pictures of the food @.@~

All i can tell you is that every dish we ordered was yummy, and we ordered quite a few sets between the 7 of us..~ but the waiting time for a table is awfully long, and the waiters try to rush you from the tables.. well, we were there for quite long laughing and chatting, but you do get a bit annoyed after you are asked whether you want dessert by the waiters a third time.. grr..

Hence, no foodie pics but lots of cosy + candid shots :)

Our side of the table *hugs*

Chairman :P

I have no idea whats with the goldfish expression O.o...

Opposite us~

Niki too busy eating.. hehehe

Haha, caught you!

Vi Dea & Niki~ :)

Esmei & Missha~~

and photo of the year! courtesy of Esmei and her shocking act of trying to force my camera to drink tea.. :S

Miss our gatherings already, and its just been a week.. Time to plan the next one~ :P

One day at Sime Darby Convention Centre~

One day in July (and October):-

I've been on lots of little field trips throughout my one year of work, i.e to the stamping office, to Bursa, to CCM, but i've also been to the Sime Darby Convention Centre twice as a tax seminar committee member (basically the most junior one in my group is usually gets the honours :S)

Most of the pics here are from my first stint as a helper (or in other words, forced labourer), since everything was new to me.. didnt bother taking pics the second time round, just spent the day bonding with colleagues since we all had to put down our work to help out, might as well enjoy ourselves~

Manning the registration counter included getting participants to sign on the name list & handing out name tags... like in primary school.. hehehe~

Registration counter...

Ppl using the second ballroom had a grander setup...ours was like a classroom :D

exactly like a classroom~ i could fall asleep here.. lol~

I likey the ceiling, reminds me of some alien eggs or something...

The exterior... before and during break time..

Spotted: IT guy taking pics of us, which I havent seen up till now.. T.T

Doing free advertising for our employers :S

Still having fun before we realised what we were doing and promised each other to never post these pics on facebook... =.=

The lunch area.. participants had a buffet lunch while we had the leftovers from a buffet lunch, lol~

the certificates given out to participants... to be honest lah, i sort of think my secondary school certs looked nicer.. hehehe

our tea time...

the 'labourers' :)

That first time, we wrapped up ard 6pm and got stuck in the 'after work jam'.. got back home ard 8.30pm *sobs* Second round I was assigned as to usher the participants to the registration counter and we were luckier cos we got to go back by 5.10pm :)

saw this guy (they tell me he's a national badminton player) and Dtk Lee Chong Wei having lunch at the chinese restaurant at the convention centre.. didnt manage to sneak a pic of Dtk tho...

I hope to goodness that I wont have to 'volunteer' a third time... *gasp*
