Adam Lambert- Mad World

New flavour of the week.. I guess we do live in a mad, mad world.. I'm not a fan of Adam Lambert since I never watched any episode of this season's American Idol, just like the hauntingness of this song, and *grudgingly* he does sing it nicely.. haha.. I swear I've heard this song before somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where~

~Mad World~
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World

Children waiting for the day they feel good

Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World....

*Oh, there's a case of H1N1 in malaysia *panic*! and I don't have a face mask! and I'm getting on a plane in 3 weeks! Aaarggghhhh....

让我发泄吧。。

为什么?
人家最讨厌的,你偏偏却要做。。
最自豪,最珍惜的,竟然被侮辱,超不爽。。
一丝丝的信心都被博取了 :(
伤透我的玻璃心。。

My heart is a mess
I think it is best
to give me some time
to make up a rhyme
to vent out my anger
before I get madder
and so it will be
but this is just me
and hereby this poem ends....

*K, done venting.. Its all in the past now and I'm fine.. Looking forward to a new phone soon..

Star Trek 2009!

Whoosh~ I just realised its been a long time since I last posted a movie review.. Well, since the past few movies I watched, most people probably have watched long before me, so I don't think an introduction for them was necessary..

Recognise him?? Nah, you most probably don't, or didn't until very recently.. Don't pretend..

Chris Pine

Haha, to be honest, I couldn't recognise him too, eventhough I've watched 2 films that he was in (Princess diaries 2 and Just my luck).. Anyways, Chris Pine is now known as Captain James T. Kirk of the U.S.S Enterprise in Star Trek the movie (directed by J. J. Abrams).. Watched the movie on Monday with my mum and bro, haha... and I really, truly enjoyed it!

Maybe cos I don't remember much of the original series and don't know the original story, so I really couldn't find any loopholes in the story (which is very very important) and not knowing what has been changed or retained, also enabled me to watch it with an open mind.. The main attraction is the futuristic setting since everything mostly happens in space, the cast is yummy, with great chemistry and the jokes and action scenes are well-balanced, so nothing to complain about.. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it was almost a comedy cos there were quite a few laugh worthy parts~ :D

For a detailed synopsis, please go here.. Cos I'm lazy to summarize such a complex plot.. Just so you don't get confused, the bad guys are from the future, fuming over something that supposedly hasn't happened yet.. and you will see 2 Spocks, one from the present and one from the future so don't scratch your head and wonder whats going on while you are watching k.. :)

I am somewhat prejudiced when choosing movies sometimes, cos I do look at the cast before watching, the Star Trek cast is very likable indeed, even the villain, played by an unrecognisable Eric Bana (from The Hulk), watch out for Zachary Quinto (Sylar from Heroes), John Cho (Harold from Harold and Kumar), Karl Urban (Lord of the Rings), Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) etc etc.. Oh, and I believe most people will love Anton Yelchin's character Chekov whose lines are very memorable.. haha... oh, and the actor who plays George Kirk is gorgeous too, I almost cried when he died, sobs...

My verdict: Go watch it even if you are not a Star Trek fan.. Even if you are, the more reason you should watch it, for a new viewpoint on the story you love so much..

*Just a personal opinion* Do you think John Cho looks like an alien in this picture?? hehehe..

Watch it!

Happy Day!!!

Finally after working hard non-stop for the past 6 years, my beloved watch that I got from mum after my PMR exam can finally take a break and have a long holiday..

Bubbye darling watch.. time you get some well-deserved rest.. Will still wear you whenever I feel like it.. (I really love my belongings wan k.. :D)

The replacement:

A Swatch! hahahha.. me suaku >.<... finally own a Swatch after so long.. Its called Optical Effect and the model is SUJK 400.. Hmm.. I'm sure it isn't one of the latest models but its a fact that it caught my eye, so I don't really bother when it came out..

Oh, and I found another life-goal while getting my watch-- I will get this:

Ladies Double Chocolate Heart Beat

Or well, something like it as soon as I can afford one.. hahhaha... may take years and years before I can get it tho, cos this Frederique Constant watch costs a whopping RM14027.00 (O.o...) The reason it costs that amount is the many diamonds littering the surface, it also comes with its own diamond certificate.. should be a worthwhile investment, besides the fact that it looks and sounds gorgeous already! :)

Meanwhile, please help me with my little dilemma.. I don't know whether to get this..

Its Sony Ericsson's W705 by the way..

As you all know, i'm pretty attached to my old, loyal SE W810i but lately, its been having some problems associated with old age and obsolescense.. For one, the battery can't be fully charged, this problem only started quite recently, but without heavy use (listening to music and talking on the phone for too long), its still bearable.. However, i'm having a problem with its capacity too, its kind of annoying me with its 512MB of storage space, yeah, pitiful right..

However, I don't know whether this is the right time to abandon my old baby.. I'm not really sure whether its worth my spending this money.. Cos my old phone isn't exactly spoilt yet, but i'm also kind of worried that its slowly dying on me, really slowly but dying all the same.. Sigh and double sigh.. Should I or should I not say goodbye??? >.<

Toilet humour..

Every month since January, we've had some kind of problem with the plumbing at home.. First, the tap at the kitchen sink broke, then the master bedroom sink detached itself from the wall, next, the downstairs cistern almost toppled over and most recently, the flush of one of the upstairs toilets broke.. I think our regular plumber must be wondering whether my mum is secretly in love with him or what.. hahhahaha.. He has to come over almost every month.~

Oh well, hopefully nothing breaks in the near future, getting tired of hearing about things that need fixing... but since everything in the house is almost as old as each other, i'm quite expecting something else to happen.. Luckily, there are other people more clumsy than me at home, so even if things break down (or just break), it probably won't be because of me.. hehe..

Reminiscing about something from sometime ago.. My idea of a fun time= Cheesecake + Wireless connection + Cool air + Cute guy~ :D

Took this when the bf was helping me tweak my laptop while sitting outside Starbucks.. Since I like to be the tech dummy, I just sat there watching people and enjoying cheesecake.. expensive cheesecake.. >.<

American Baked Cheesecake (I think..) Scrumptious!

Oh, and no prizes for guessing which starbucks outlet I was at.. heehee~

Just to share

I stumbled upon this great group entirely by accident! The Vitamin String Quartet! Well, there are lots of string quartets around but this one is special cos they do tributes to lots of different, mostly rock bands.. My current favourite is their take on Switchfoot's Dare You To Move.. Mmmm.. sounds so soothing.. If you like it, then you should check out their tributes to linkin park, coldplay, paramore, etc etc etc.. I really like their version of numb and somewhere I belong too~

The video below is captioned "This is so sick!".. and it really is lah in my opinion, eventhough I don't play Guitar Heroes.. I used to play VO2 and this person playing to the string quartet's Through the Fire and the Flames is a god! Watch and be amazed.. I really admire the high score, really..

PS: I am addicted! To what? Here's a hint:
"And the lion fell in love with the lamb."
"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick, masochistic lion.."
Sighhhhhhhh......

Eeew.. Disgusting!

Warning: Disgusting photos ahead...

Just to share something that happened at home a some time ago.. The story was that we bought some oat and walnut bread one day to have for breakfast the next day.. The expiry date on the package was about 5 days later..

My mum, the bread fanatic, wanted to try it out that same night, after a few mouthfuls, she somehow felt that the bread did not taste right, so she switched on the light to have a look (she was watching tv without the lights on in the living room at first..)

Lo and behold:

Extra raisins???!

Take a closer look:

Eeew... she swallowed mould! Eeew...

Luckily she didn't get an upset stomach after eating that.. Maybe there's fungus growing in her stomach now... Urgh... Wish we could have sued the manufacturer.. or at least gotten a refund, sigh.. Didn't want to make mountains out of molehills since nothing happened.. Won't be going back to that bakery never again that's for sure!

I think they must have been changing the expiry date on the packaging of things that couldn't be sold.. How else could something like that happen.. I won't name the bakery but you may ask me personally if you want..

I think I am afraid of raisins now... @.@~
