Spring is is the air~

Wow.. how fast.. its that time of the year again.. when all the red clothes come out from the closet and the sun is extra hot.. Chinese New Year is here again.. As im typing this, im already back from dear old Penang, darker and wider than before i left kl.. I swear Penang Island is so hot that it most probably win ' the hottest place in malaysia' contest (if there were such a contest lah) >.<

I drafted this post at first to remember my first yee-sang tossing in 2010 cos i was very excited about it.. but that was before my 3rd yee sang this year

The dullest looking yee-sang i've seen in Room Eighteen...

I actually love this.. but once a year is satisfying enough already,hehe....

Anyways, one more week of CNY to go.. I want more angpows!!!!! :P

Gym Bunny~

PS: Next few Saturday mornings gym bunny is going for yoga classes.. whee~~~ i think i grew some extra muscles after the first class today.. Namaste, namaste...

Obsessed with Burger Shop!

muahahahaha... finally finished all four games in Burger Shop i.e. Story, Relax, Challenge and Expert Story modes.. :):):) Feel so accomplished cos I just had to make sure that i got a perfect score in every level... Really hate the Aliens and Punks..

A post filled with chocs and lurve~

I'm not proud that this post has been a draft for the longest time ever, but i think its pretty suitable for the lovey-dovey season just around the corner.. (this will be a jumbled up post filled with sweetness and romance.. muahahahha)

Can you believe that i showed up at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre 3 days in a row just for this?!

The much enticipated (by the womenfolk in my office at least) Chocolate Fair 2010~

Personally, there wasnt much to see.. and dont ask me why i still went for consecutively three days in a row... Serious buyers would have found it worthwhile cos there were some offers up for grabs.. all i know i tasted so many chocolate samples until i nearly had a sore throat.. haha... Some of the more interesting stuff exhibited:

over-colourful truffles... which look kind of scary and fake.. to me..

homemade chocolate brownies~

real fruits dipped in milk chocolate~ there were weirder ones like strawberry and coffee bean..

and also banana, which tasted damn weird!

I bought this.. makes you feel very guilty after eating it.. haha..

All in all it was a tiny exhibition.. Since it was touted as the biggest chocolate fair, i expected it to have a lot more booths.. kind of disappointed..

These are chocs from london, which our in-house liquidator got for everyone in the office from his trip there,, Lime and Raspberry, how interesting :)

After the turmoil of the past week, the sky finally looks clear again..

Lessons from this past week:
-you really panic when you feel like there's no roof over your head
-dealing with government agencies is a job from hell >.<
-finally know what it feels like to be stressed at work...
-your head aches if your nose is blocked, causing you to not be able to breathe properly @.@~

Anyways, i'm glad that the week is finally over... looking forward to the weekend :) finally wanna start using my lucky draw steamer :):) and more time to potter abt and finally update some of my very backdated posts :):):)

Birthday girl with makeshift b'day cake :)

Cos we'd planned to visit the chocolate fair being held at the Mid Valley exhibition hall, we decided to meet up there for lunch.. After discovering the joy of dining at Pasta Zanmai the previous day with Mummy, we decided to head there once again when Michelle suggested we go for fusion food.. Well, Japanese + Italian= very much fusioned right?? :)

We ordered the mini sets where you have 2 mini dishes and desserts :)

Mini dish no. 1 - Tempura Pasta

Mini dish no. 2 - Unagi rice with scrumptious perfectly boiled 'hot-spring' egg...

Mini dish no. 3 - Hotate (scallop) Pizza... *two thumbs up!* :)

Mini dish no. 4 - teriyaki chicken pasta and hot-spring egg again (its my fav kind of egg at the moment, and i normally dont fancy eggs.. so it must be good lah~)

Crepe with mixed fruits and macha ice-cream.. oh, and with red-bean topping :P

Cake of the day was Strawberry cake which came with green tea latte, which was very yummy in my opinion.. :)

last but not least~ blueberry frozen yoghurt

I now have a very good opinion of the zanmai chain of restaurants after trying both sushi and pasta zanmai.. Service charge is worth it as the waiters make sure yr glass of warm water is constantly full and the food is served pretty fast.. everything i've tried so far tasted great too :):) cant wait to go again and try their other stuff, i saw some patrons having something like DIY teriyaki and they were throwing in ingredients in a pan and stirring something which smelled great.. wonder wat that is...

After lunch, we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2, and frankly i was quite disappointed.. I tot the main point of the Chipmunk movies the cutesy songs that they sing?? In the second one the songs were either not that nice or repetitive >.<

And then, my third and final trip to the chocolate fair.. not that I really love chocs so much, but must have been a weird twist of fate that i ended up there three days in a row.. O.o... Ended the day with curry laksa and endless chit chat at My Toast, where a fierce-looking plus rather fierce aunty manned the stall... Damn expensive curry laksa.. wouldnt have had it if i wasnt really craving it so badly @.@~

To Michelle: Happy 22nd gal~ so good to be acknowledged as one year younger than me when you're in fact exactly one month younger.. hehehe... Have a great year ahead! :)

Zen Cafe and Sherlock Holmes~

I'll be honest here and admit that i still keep in touch with certain someone and Jan 3rd being his birthday, we decided to meet up so that i could belanja him some cake... Destination was Sunway Pyramid for food at Zen Cafe and a movie afterwards...

Not bad, set lunch got grapetiser or appletiser :)

Me & Him~

Watched Sherlock Holmes, which i'd wanted to watch ever since i saw the trailer ages ago :) I officially deem it a must-watch! :) but perhaps it wont interest ppl who either dont know about Sherlock Holmes, 221B Baker Street or his crime-solving abilities, hehe..

I personally like movies with smart jokes.. and the mystery was quite interesting.. About a man who came alive again after he was supposedly executed and starts killing prominent people in London.. Exciting~ :) Some parts were a little eerie as well, but I like how they made the whole mystery very logical.. couldnt find any loopholes this time :)

Robert Downey Jr-A very convincing Sherlock Holmes.. Cant wait for Iron Man 2!

In this adaptation, I actually liked Watson lots more than Holmes.. So two thumbs up for Jude Law as well~

Springcleaning~

A new year a new environment~ Thats what i hoped to get on New Year's Day, and i'm pleased to say that we made it happen :D as the title very obviously states, I spent the first day of the new year cleaning the house, specifically the kitchen...

Ever since the first day i moved in, i always tried my best not to step into the kitchen if i could help it.. I filled my water bottle at the office, bought packed meals, refrained from drinking hot beverages, anything to prevent myself from going in, wanna know why?

Messy

Dirty


Grimy (dont even get me started on the inside of the fridge)

Untidy

but after one month of avoiding, I couldnt stand it anymore and began thinking how i could improve the situation.. Luckily some of my housemates were eager to help :) so we spent the best part of 1st January 2010 cleaning up~ We each chose a corner and started with our kitchen overhaul..
