It was raining and raining the whole morning, and very luckily, we had chosen the latest walk out of 5 choices, which was 1.30pm, and the sky was like this when we arrived:
lucky :)
We arrived early and were told to go to the back of the line to await the start of our walk, and as usual, people here turned out in full force~ The line was so so long...
I zoomed in so you can see the start sign..
See how far back we actually are?! Can you still spot the 'start' sign? and there were even more people behind us.. Incredible~ (click pic to enlarge)
Wristbands~
Oh ya, the starting point ws the street in front of the world museum that I had been to earlier in the week.. William Brown Street~
and we were off!
Crossing the road..
Interesting band of drummers..
At the tunnel entrance..
Almost there~
and we are in!
The boundary between the 2 sides of the river..
and I dunno what this meant but it was weird seeing it in there, haha..
After more or less 55 minutes of walking, finally see some light!
Aaah.. I smell success...
Yay, got to walk in a tunnel that is usually only accessible by cars, haha...
Something special..

While we were waiting for 1.30pm, there was some entertainment, with people performing on the stage upfront, there was a ventriloquist act as well (you know, where a guy holds a dummy and makes it speak? Except this time the 'dummy' was a real person wearing an eerie mask with a mouth that moved..) and there was a fake king and fake queen to greet us participants.. haha..
and the countdown begins- I managed to take a picture when '1' was showing on the screen :)they had trouble coming down the stairs, hehe..
This is apparently a TV celebrity (Keith Chegwin), but I dunno who he is, sorry...

I'd never actually walked inside a tunnel this huge before, and it was so long that we took almost an hour to walk from one end to the other, great exercise man~ We had been warned that it would be dark and cold inside, but at the end of the walk we were all sweating, haha... Its amazing how many of the participants were quite (how should i say this..) old? They are really healthy here i must say.. Along the way, there were signs telling us what buildings or streets were overhead.. Very interesting..
Halfway across, with the river above us.. How cool is that! The boundary between the 2 sides of the river..

The following pics are mostly the view from the ferry.. All i really remember is that the wind was very strong and I felt kind of cold, and it took a long time before it started moving >.<
All in all a very fun day, i really enjoyed the ferry ride and the walk through the tunnel as well, since thats not something you get to do everyday.. My souvenirs from today:
