Europe Trip Day 3: Amsterdam-Luxembourg-Rhine Valley

Day 3 was kind of miserable cos one of the people in my bus realised that they had left their passport and wallet behind in the hotel more than one hour after we hit the road.. So we had to turn back for her to get it... How can someone be so blur?! @.@~ The delay was rather costly for us cos traffic was much heavier by the time we got back on the highway.. In the end, we hardly had time for Luxembourg and only got a glimpse of the gorgeous Rhine Valley cos by the time we arrived it was dark already :( we also lost out on one chinese dinner which got replaced by a pork knuckle meal (our tour leader paid the extra cost, poor guy..)

Our time at Luxembourg was super rushed.. just walked one round in town, took some pictures and went for a toilet break and it was time to get back on the bus already.. Literally 'shoot and run' >.<

The monument of remembrance
A war memorial with a gold lady at the top..

Part of the City Hall and the spires of Notre-Dame cathedral can be seen in the background.. this is not the famous notre-dame which is in Paris, will get to that later.. :) click on the picture to check out the really cool sky!!

The sign above the door says Hotel de Ville and everyone was wondering whether our tour leader got it wrong about the building being the city hall.. (It really is the city hall by the way~)

This is the Grand Ducal Palace, the official residence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg

It seems so easily accessible, haha..

Just one lonely guard outside.. no security threats in Luxembourg??

Kammy and me outside the palace :)

Adolphe Bridge- picture perfect!

Luxembourg flag flying high~

Rush rush rush.. and we were off to the next country- Germany.. had to get to Rhine Valley in time for dinner..

The sky in Germany is always filled with interesting lines and patterns like these..

Quick glimpse of breathtaking Rhine Valley before it got dark..

We had dinner at a place called Panorama Restaurant in Loreley, the famous German pork knuckle dinner.. I think it costs 16 euros per set including soup, main course, rice and dessert..

Table sharers :)

vegetable and pasta soup~

Sauerkraut which is fermented cabbage, hehe.. sour but quite nice..

The thing we were waiting for..

2 people sharing one portion again~

and finally, pudding for dessert..

Spent the night at Express Holiday Inn Hotel which was quite comfy :)

People who visit Germany must not miss out Rhine Valley.. One of the most beautiful places i have seen.. really...
