Unbelievable!

Oh wow, i don't regret watching "Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay" My first impression was that it's just another stupid, lame show with lots of dirty jokes and under dressed people... But I was really really impressed by the poem by Kumar at the end... read it out loud pls if you will...
Kumar Patel's poem:

I fear that I will always be, a lonely number like root three
A three is all that's good and right
Why must my three keep out of sight, beneath a vicious square-root sign
I wish instead I were a nine
For nine could thwart this evil trick, with just some quick arithmetic
I know I'll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationality
When hark, just what is this I see?
Another square root of a three
Has quietly come waltzing by
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer, rejoicing as an integer
We break free from our mortal bonds, and with a wave of magic wands
Our square-root signs become unglued, and love for me has been renewed

***********************************************************************************************

**(O.O)**

I've added a chinese translation for those who cant get it the first time.. :) It sounds nice in chinese too :)

For the uninitiated, the movie is about 2 guys who want to be doctors-Harold Lee, a Korean and Kumar Patel, an Indian who are both second generation Americans from new jersey and who happen to be housemates and best friends..

They are on a plane to Amsterdam for a medical school interview when Kumar is mistaken for a terrorist by a little old lady.. It doesnt help that Kumar was at the time holding a 'bong' (pipe for smoking tobacco) that everyone kept thinking was a bomb :D Thus, they are thrown into Guantanamo Bay where the prisoners are tortured by the jail masters..

In a moment of luck, they escape from jail with the help of 2 bona fide, real and may i add silly, terrorists who are also being held captive there.. During their escape adventures, they run into all kinds of people and situations including a 'bottomless' instead of topless party, a meeting of the ku klux klan, a hunter in alabama who lives in a luxurious cottage and the president himself..

To be honest, some parts of the movie were hilarious but some parts were just appetite killing! So i do not recommend any straight-laced person to watch this otherwise they would be screaming and running away from the tv or pc or whatever screen they are watching this on... :) So in the end, the both of them head to Texas to seek the help of Kumar's ex's fiance who is a politician.. The idiot then betrays them and sends them back to Guantanamo Bay on a plane, but they escape with the help of one parachute... (Well, its a long movie k...) and Kumar goes to snatch back Vanessa, his only love from her evil fiance and he wins her back by reciting this poem (which in my opinion is awesome!) when she asks him to do something that would make him feel as embarassed as her having her wedding ruined and her to be-husband out cold on the floor after being punched by Harold...

I kind of like this movie cos it kind of shows us what serious implications racial profiling and stereotyping can cause (watch this, malaysian politicians! :D) and it does prove that intelligent people are appealing, hehe...

Anyway, a crazy end to a tiring day... 7 hours straight of classes from 8am with just a 1 hour break in between is just killing! Funny how we went through primary and secondary school last time... Oh well, maybe the syllabus now just uses up too much brain matter or we could just blame it on getting older, like what my lecturer suggested today, hehe... :D
