Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion “覆雨翻云"
My all time fave, many ppl think this show is kind of boring cos of its 40 episodes and historical (albeit fictional) content... But believe it or not, I've watched it 4 times!!! Hahahahha... It actually has a deeper meaning besides the love story, cos its about a man with the burden of a country on his shoulders and the conflict he has to face when he realises that his life was part of a big plan... This was the show that made me notice Raymond Lam Fung, watch his eyes as he acts, you will see all the emotions brimming inside and his tears are so real oso!! The leads are really likeable, even the villian, cos they are so human... Very nice lor...
This show was promoted by the fact that all the leads are eye candy and the view in the show very nice cos it was filmed partly in Japan.. Well my verdict, really eye candy! The chemistry between the leads was quite good also, only regret was that one of the couple's only got together so far at the end, wld have liked to see more of their story... One more plus is the really really cute miniature schnauzer called Jack, he's a natural born actor, haha... The show wldn't have been so good if it wasnt for his role.. However I felt that the artist in the show was a carbon copy of几米... Hmm...
This show is so damn ridiculous, but I like that fact that it is consistent and funy throughout unlike some half-baked comedies we see... The basis of the story is so super far-fetched: A fairy and a human having a relationship and having a baby??! hahahaha... But I watched it during exam period and it helps to relieve stress, really! Pls ignore the silly stereotypical 'magical powers' tho, very obvious computer effects that even children will not believe... :) Its fun so enjoy it all the same...
This i also watched more than once... The characters are so cute and likeable, especially the gang of bandits and Bosco Wong's 不留名... I loved the part where the wife found out that her cowerdly, scaredy cat husband was the hero she had been secretly fantasising about, so cute, that part alone is worth a few rewinds... :) And the bad mother-in-law got her just desserts and became good in the end... Normally, I enjoy modern shows more than traditional ones and the fact that this show merits a place in my favourites list shows its worth watching lah!

Yea, I preferred the original one more... That Vincent character was more interesting then and the dialogue was wittier in my opinion.... And i really liked the 2 leads eventho Myolie's character was sooo annoying when they reopened her dead friend's case, watch it if you wanna know what i mean... But yea, you may compare it with the sequel if you like, just my view that this is better, just like in most movies where the prequel is always the best right...
