Scottish experience preface..

Kind of lazy to start rambling again after such a long break.. but here goes..

Left for the most exciting trip in my life on the 30th of July 2009 to Scotland.. Why was it epic for me?? Cos it was a real road trip adventure where we had to rely on maps and GPS for directions since nobody in any of the 5 cars had been to Scotland before..

Experienced many firsts on this trip:
first time staying in budget youth hostels with strangers in the same dorm or 16 people per room,
first time spending the night in a car,
first time feeling freezing even after wearing 4 jackets, gloves and scarf,
first time peeing outdoors since I was a small kid,
first time climbing a mountain in a skirt,
first time seeing sheep, rabbits, pheasants, etc in the middle of the road,
first time understanding how hard it is to navigate a journey and be in the lead car,
first time seeing a real heaven on earth~
and lots more besides..

the Scottish countryside is really breathtaking and beautiful (but their radio stations suck, haha), really appreciate the people who made this trip happen, especially our amazing navigator and also our pitiful driver, if I was driving, I would have surrendered by the second day.. No wonder only people who are at least 23 years old are allowed to drive in Scotland.. Super winding roads, animals that pop out suddenly and pitch black roads at night, really can give you a heart attack..
