Day 2: Replacing my missed induction

The next morning after arriving, no time for jet lag! Had to go to uni by 9.30am, meaning that we had to leave at 8.50am, cos its roughly 30mins to walk to the place (which is mostly uphill, btw).. Other people who had arrived early got to go shopping at chester, while those of us who sat for the ICSA exam had to go to uni for a short brief to replace the induction that we missed and settle our enrolment stuff.. Kind of like being punished after being tortured.. >.<

The glorious sky as viewed from my room, I'm on the 4th floor, remember?

After the brief and form filling that lasted for around 2 hours, Mr Colin St Paul, our course leader took us for a tour ard campus (the other students didnt get this, heehee..) and so we walked all round the John Foster building, which is where the business school is located..

First up was this chapel like thingy with the impressive door..

I dunno why, but every shot that I took in the chapel/ room came out blur.. Wonder if there was some sort of 'interference' or what.. Weird..

After the impressive door came the impressive staircase.. Now that I've been here 5 days, its not that impressive anymore, used to seeing it already..

These photos were all taken in tadaa: The John Foster Building..

I like how most houses in Liverpool have these red brick walls.. Looks much prettier.. Right mum?? :)

Ok, so this was outside the building, I'm not exactly sure what this is yet.. I think its the modern museum or something like that.. Will find out later..

A clearer view.. note all the suaku ppl, including me taking pictures.. haha.. basically almost every building here is picturesque.. Theres plenty more that i haven't had the chance to photograph yet...

This is the building right across the street from the John Foster Building's main entrance.. To tell the truth, I also don't know what it is.. haha..

Do you realise that it looks slanting? Thats cos the road it is on is really steep.. Have to climb hills everyday... sigh... really good exercise..

Thats the radio city tower, or something like that, very awkward building in a place full of historical places.. :)

After the tour, we had a half hour break before having a replacement lecture for us to catch up with the rest.. It sucks to arrive late I tell you.. The lecture lasted for 3 hours.. but before that, we had to scout ard for our lunch, had to search for 'right' prices.. Finally found a nice little mediterranean restaurant with 10" pizzas that cost only 4 pounds+ with toppings.. we chose spicy chicken to takeaway since we had only 15 mins to eat and to find our way back.. The funniest thing was we ended up eating on the pavement outside the restaurant, when we realised we couldn't eat as we walked cos the toppings kept falling off.. The waitress who took the order must have thought we were crazy.. Takeaway then eat outside the shop.. haha.. The pizza was really good tho.. maybe cos it was piping hot! and people here, when you ask for some chilli sauce, they end up giving you one whole cup full.. :D

Grey, cloudy sky in the evening, the weather here has mood swings, haha..

After class, I went back to await my friends' return.. Those who were shopping, they had gone to a designer brand factory outlet.. Everyone came back with perfume, which is really cheaper here than in Malaysia.. ( well certain brands lah).. If only I could have gone to have a look too.. Too bad..
